How Panaseer's CCM platform works

Find out how we use Continuous Controls Monitoring to turn complex security data into actionable insights.

How does Panaseer work?

Panaseer’s Continuous Controls Monitoring platform measures of the effectiveness of your cybersecurity controls across ten cyber control domains so you can highlight successes and identify areas of improvement. Once you understand your controls posture, the platform enables you to report on a daily basis, take action to reduce risk to the business, and ensure good governance by validating your controls.

Collect

Panaseer brings in data from a range of sources, including security, IT, and business tools. This seamless and continuous process runs at an enterprise scale, and uses Panaseer's agentless intelligent data connectors.

The platform collects, normalizes, and correlates disparate data from these tools and builds a suite of asset inventories that feed into ten cyber control domains

Enrich

These asset inventories are then populated with business-focused contextual information, such as geographical location, business unit, and criticality. This ensures that the decisions you make will have the biggest impact on improving your security posture and reducing risk to the business by focusing on the most important assets.

Measure

Panaseer automates the measurement of security controls metrics. You get a true understanding of the efficacy of your security controls, measured against your organization’s internal policies and external regulations or frameworks such as NIST or CIS. This analysis is visualized across 50+ out-of-the-box dashboards in 200+ best practice metrics.

Prioritize

Once you have your measurements, you can leverage the enriched data to effectively prioritize what to fix first. When everything is critical, nothing is critical. But if you know a subset of your criticals is affecting your payment processes or critical services, you can prioritize those for remediation. Panaseer identifies these so you can take the next best action to reduce risk.

Translate

Panaseer translates complex cybersecurity concepts into a scorecard that allows you to tell your story to a range of stakeholders, including a non-technical audience. The scorecard is made up of a range of your security initiatives that represent the needs of the business, so you can improve your partnership and communication with the wider business.

A simplified Panaseer dashboard shows a scorecard with a group of yellow, red and green tiles showing critical assets performance and highlighting risks in red, with an avatar of a white man with grey beard on a blue diamond.

Act

Panaseer guides security, IT and business teams to take the most effective action to reduce risk to the business. This comes in several forms: ticketing; tracking and verifying remediation objectives; automated notifications for control failure; integration with relevant tools such as ITSM, GRC or CMDB; or verifying with data. This last step is essential to provide assurance of your security controls for the business and regulators, verified with data truth.
